Those who want to be portrayed,

don’t need to fear long sessions: I. Marina Buening or somebody appointed by her takes photographs from every aspect of the person’s head and these photos form the basis for her initial work. At that stage, the size of the bust has to be decided; lifesize or perhaps smaller. Later, when the clay model has reached an intermediate stage, it is necessary to have direct contact with the person, to make adjustments and take more photos. Then, via consultations with the client, the work will continue. Only when a written acceptance of the commission has been made by the client, will the bronze casting take place. The whole process takes two or three months. Also, there is the possibility to have a miniature bust of ca. 10 cm height, which is rather beautiful for small children.
